This article addresses a historical draw of the professionalization of the cultural field in Latin America and Argentina, underlying the training and professionalization of the involved agents. In this context, the creation process of the Institute of Public Culture is developed, part of the Culture Ministry of Argentina, as a body intended to train cultural agents to research, assess and disseminate different aspects related to public cultural policy.
