Digital Preservation Policy

Córima, Journal of Research in Cultural Management, is committed to the digital preservation of its contents in order to ensure their long-term conservation, availability, and accessibility. The journal seeks to ensure that published articles remain continuously accessible, even in the event of technical failures, platform migrations, or discontinuation of the journal.

The journal’s contents are preserved through backup copies and digital preservation systems compatible with open access scholarly publishing standards. Córima is compatible with the LOCKSS system (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), which provides the journal with a permanent and secure archive through the creation of distributed and validated copies of its contents. LOCKSS is an open-source program designed to enable the decentralized preservation of electronic publications and the recovery of files in the event of loss or alteration.

Whenever possible, the journal will also use institutional preservation services or long-term preservation networks, as well as persistent identifiers such as DOI to ensure the stable location of articles. Preservation includes both published files and the metadata associated with each article, which are necessary for retrieval, citation, and interoperability.

The journal seeks to ensure that published issues remain available on its website and in the corresponding archiving or digital preservation systems. In the event of a temporary service interruption, the necessary measures will be taken to restore access as quickly as possible and preserve the integrity of the published collection.

The Editorial Board and technical team are responsible for ensuring that digital preservation mechanisms remain active and up to date. Córima considers digital preservation an essential part of its commitment to open science, editorial stability, and scholarly memory.
